Monroe Protection Kits help prevent damage to piston rods and other critical components.
KEEP BAD STUFF OUT
Dirt, water and road debris can quickly damage a new shock absorber or strut. That’s why every shock replacement should include a new Monroe Protection Kit. These kits feature a strong thermoplastic dirt shield that helps prevent contaminants and debris from reaching the unit’s piston rod and oil seal.
PREVENT ROD DAMAGE
At the heart of every shock and strut is a chrome-plated piston rod engineered to provide smooth, precise articulation. It is important to keep asphalt deposits, stones, grit and other harsh elements away from the polished rod surface. A punctured, torn or missing dirt shield can’t adequately perform this job.
KEEP IT SEALED
Shock absorbers and struts feature a precisely engineered seal that retains internal fluid and gas while locking out environmental contaminants. Monroe Protection Kits help preserve the smooth interface between this seal and the surface of the piston rod.
SPREAD THE LOAD
Each Monroe Protection Kit also includes a high-strength compression bumper that helps absorb extreme impacts that could affect vehicle stability and damage the shock or strut’s internal valving. A unique attachment helps lock this bumper in place.
