Major: Marketing and Sales

Hobbies: Eating, sleeping, tattoos, exploring and putting a smile on other peoples’ faces

Fun Fact: “I have a large sock collection of over 200 pairs. If I can, I will purchase a pair of socks from each city and or state.”

Cory Black, a native of Dayton, Ohio, has joined the 2017 Monroe Shockmobile tour for the chance to see new sights, meet new people and expand his leadership skills, as he drives across the Western U.S. sharing information about the brand’s offerings with automotive shops and consumers.

Cory has an affinity for interacting with and serving other people, which drove him to study sales and marketing at the University of Toledo. He hopes that by participating in this year’s tour he will be able to learn how to better interact with people of different diversities and gain valuable field experience that will continue to serve him as he begins his career.

This past spring, Cory took a spontaneous drive down to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with several friends, calling it his favorite road trip to date. Scheduled Shockmobile tour stops in the Dallas/Fort Worth market and the San Francisco Bay Area could pose a challenge to that title.

Cory’s traveling necessities include an ample supply of sunflower seeds, coffee and McDonald’s McChicken sandwiches – his ultimate travelling fuel. His favorite road trip song is Through the Fire and Flames, by DragonForce, and his favorite road trip movie is Cat in the Hat. His ideal road trip would include a visit to Chicago.
Ian Pribe

Major: Sales and Marketing

Hobbies: Producing electronic music, working out, healthy eating and photography

Fun Fact: “I DJ and create music in my free time.”

Returning Monroe Brand Ambassador Ian Pribe has never traveled further west than Chicago, but that will change this year as he embarks on his second Monroe Shockmobile tour, which will carry him to multiple states across the Western U.S. He is most excited for scheduled visits to Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

Growing up in Sylvania, Ohio, Ian was a quiet teenager. He chose to study sales and marketing at the University of Toledo, in part, to challenge himself to develop his social skills. Ian believes opening himself to new experiences – like those that come with participating in the Shockmobile tour – will provide him with opportunities to build connections and become accustomed to dynamic change, a benefit in his chosen field.

Ian’s travel necessities include black coffee, roasted and salted almonds and his portable music recording equipment. His favorite road trip songs include Empress, by IMLAY and Thts Wht Frns R4, by Ricky Mars, and his favorite road trip movie is Interstellar. Ian’s dream road trip would involve camping and hiking with friends in California’s national parks.
Parker Tredwell

Hobbies: Golf, working out and watching movies

Fun Fact: “I am a returning Monroe Brand Ambassador. And I own a cowboy hat.”

Parker Tredwell of Franklin, Michigan is a veteran Monroe Brand Ambassador, returning for his second Shockmobile mobile tour in 2017. Some of his most memorable travel experiences include stops from last year’s tour, when he and former brand ambassador Josh Meyers drove from California to Wisconsin, seeing the Pacific Ocean, mountains and deserts along the way. This year, he’s looking forward to exploring the eastern part of the U.S. and Canada and experiencing many unique events – especially the QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Readington, New Jersey.

A sales and finance major at the University of Toledo, Parker hopes to begin his career as an area sales representative. For him, the Monroe Shockmobile tour is an excellent opportunity to gain field experience and learn how to interact with people who are using and selling Monroe products.

Parker’s traveling necessities include coffee, almonds, good country music and his golf clubs. His favorite road trip song is Big Green Tractor, by Jason Aldean, and his favorite movie to watch while traveling is Rocky. For Parker, the ideal road trip would include stops at different beaches and allow him to attend sporting events.
Shawn Lienhardt
Monroe Mobile Tour - Shawn College: Miami University
Year: Junior
Major: Marketing and Business Analytics

Hobbies: Photography, hockey, fishing and running

Fun Fact: “I have a twin at The Ohio State University. He is my best friend.”

Shawn Lienhardt is no stranger to extended road trips, having driven with his family last year from Cincinnati to Banff, Alberta to see the Canadian Rockies. This summer, the Westchester, Ohio native is gearing up for an even longer haul as he steps into one of the Monroe Shockmobiles for an opportunity to tour dozens of cities across the Eastern U.S. and Canada.

A marketing and business analytics major at Miami University, Shawn is looking forward to the chance to travel, meet new people and gain valuable, first-hand marketing experience by representing the Monroe brand. He’s most excited for scheduled stops in Toronto and Washington D.C., along with the various car shows included on the Shockmobile tour.

Shawn’s traveling necessities include coffee, chewy peanut butter chocolate granola bars and his camera, which goes nearly everywhere with him. His favorite road trip song is American Pie, by Don McLean, while his favorite traveling movies include Hitch, Shrek and Meet the Parents.

For Shawn, his dream road trip would be more of a track trip – one involving riding trains across Europe, where he hopes to move someday.
