All-in-One Replacement Strut Assemblies to be Available for Growing Range of Popular Domestic, Import Applications
Las Vegas, NV - The innovative Monroe® Quick-Strut™ assembly – which helps service providers save up to one hour of labor per vehicle corner when compared to conventional strut replacement – has been so popular that Tenneco (NYSE: TEN) is planning to introduce 13 additional part numbers covering Honda, Ford, Chevrolet, Mercury, Toyota, and Volkswagen applications.
Year-to-date sales of Quick-Strut assemblies have nearly doubled the initial projections of Tenneco’s North American aftermarket team. With the new part numbers, the Monroe® Quick-Strut line will include coverage of nearly 40 popular domestic and import models.
The Monroe® Quick-Strut assembly is the automotive service industry’s first comprehensive, fully assembled replacement strut solution. Each Quick-Strut unit features a pre-assembled replacement bearing plate, upper and lower spring isolators, upper spring seat, coil spring, boot kit, and premium application-engineered Monroe Sensa-Trac® strut designed to deliver OE-style ride and handling. The assemblies' spring rate and strut valving are carefully tuned to each vehicle’s factory-specified ride and handling profile.
"The Quick-Strut assembly is redefining the economics of strut replacement, both for service providers and consumers," said Mark Christiaanse, director of product management for the Monroe® brand. "This innovative solution speeds the installation process without compromising repair quality. In fact, because Quick-Struts feature all of the components and hardware needed for the job, they help ensure that the technician performs a complete repair that results in exceptional ride and handling."
Additional applications covered by the Monroe® Quick-Strut line include:
- 1990-93 Honda Accord
- 1993-98 Volkswagen Jetta
- 2000-04 Ford Focus
- 1998-05 Chevrolet Malibu
- 1998-05 Chevrolet Malibu Classic
- 1993-98 Mercury Village
- 1993-02 Toyota Corolla
"Each of our new part numbers addresses a popular application with a comparatively high rate of strut and spring replacement, based on industry data and extensive feedback from service shops," Christiaanse said.
