Brand’s New Master Ride Control Catalog Also Features Quick-Strut™ Assemblies for Popular Late-Model Applications
MONROE, MI - Tenneco Automotive (NYSE: TEN) has published a comprehensive new master catalog covering the company’s complete line of Monroe® shocks and struts and other innovative ride control technologies for automotive applications.
The 2005 Monroe® catalog builds on the brand’s industry-leading coverage of OE-replacement ride control components for domestic and import passenger cars, vans, light trucks and sport-utility vehicles. Monroe® offers 96.6 percent coverage of North American automotive applications through the brand’s popular Sensa-Trac®, Monroe® Reflex®, and Monro-Matic Plus™ shocks and struts. The catalog also features the revolutionary Monroe® Quick-Strut™ assembly, which helps automotive service businesses significantly reduce the time required to perform strut replacement on many popular passenger models.
Also covered in the 2005 catalog is the Monroe® brand’s expanded line of Sensa-Trac® premium shocks and struts for import models. Each new Sensa-Trac® unit for an import application is precision-tuned to the control and comfort characteristics specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
"By choosing Monroe® technicians and consumers can eliminate the ride and handling compromises associated with some other brands’ consolidated valving technologies," said Richard Alameddine, vice president of marketing and engineering, North American Aftermarket, for Tenneco Automotive. "Our engineers have precisely tuned each premium Monroe® product to match the OE manufacturer’s ride and handling profile and to ensure customer satisfaction."
Another product highlight within the catalog is the new Monroe® Reflex® monotube shock absorber for light trucks and SUVs. This new product builds on the brand’s application-engineered design philosophy, through which each Monroe replacement shock or strut features the same construction and valving technology specified by the OE manufacturer. The result is like-new performance that enhances consumer satisfaction and loyalty.
The catalog also covers Tenneco Automotive’s limited lifetime consumer warranty and 90-day risk-free Safe & Sound guarantee. The Safe & Sound guarantee allows consumers to try Monroe® Reflex, Sensa-Trac® or Gas-Magnum™ products on a risk-free basis for 90 days. If the customer is not satisfied, he or she can receive a refund for the purchase price plus labor of up to $50 per axle. (Restrictions apply.)
